You don't need to take the full road route to reach the lookout. The path starts at Descansador Lookout, on Lavras Novas' main street. From there, just follow the trail until you reach the totem marking the Estrada Real. It's a quieter option with plenty of contact with nature, ideal for those who prefer exploring the village on foot.
