At the end of Rua da Fonte, in Lavras Novas, sits Pedra Lookout, a peaceful, easy-to-reach spot with an impressive view of the region's mountains. No trails or tough hikes required — just follow the street to its end to find this quiet, welcoming spot.
From there, you can even make out a stretch of the Serra do Itatiaia, part of a landscape that invites calm and contemplation. A bench set up on site invites you to pause, whether to watch the sunset, chat, or simply enjoy the moment surrounded by nature.
Right next to the lookout, a staircase leads to another special spot in Lavras Novas: the charming Bica de Rosa, an old natural spring that's also worth a visit.
Pedra Lookout is one of those places that doesn't show up much on maps, but stays with you long after you've been there.
